I’m a reporter and product specialist committed to working on the stories, and products, that make sense in our digital age.

Most of my reporting has been for articles for newspapers or digital news startups, but I’ve also worked on podcasts and information graphics. Across different contexts I’ve covered elections, disabilities advocacy, local courts and policing, entrepreneurship and public health.

I have also worked on both editorial planning and the more technical side of email newsletter production. I’ve built prototype newsletter products, designed graphics, and drafted sample copy for new products. I’ve also run monthly analysis reports on newsletters – digging into what stands out in the month’s audience data – A/B tested changes to newsletters to improve their performance, and identified potential new opportunities for growth with new audiences or new editorial initiatives.

As a graduate student I worked with a major publication to build a business and editorial model for a new sub-brand, and as a teaching assistant I helped students create proposals for a local publication in a news desert.
